OpenURL parameters used in Primo service page

    • Product: Primo

    Question

Which OpenURL parameters are supported in Primo service page?

    Answer

The list of supported OpenURL parameters (including their description) is available as part of Alma Link Resolver documentation, see more at Commonly Used OpenURL Attributes for the URL Template

In addition, there are some special parameters that can be used:

    • u.ignore_date_coverage – When set to true, the Alma link resolver ignores date thresholds.

    • env_type – When set to test, correct linking is enabled between Alma Prod and Primo Sandbox.

    • raw_coverage – When set to true, OpenURL calls with the new attribute raw_coverage=true includes in its response the date information (coverage) and embargo for every context_service (Portfolio). The OpenURL response includes a coverage tag (one XML tag per global/local date-information row in the portfolio editor) and an embargo tag (one XML tag for global embargo and one for local embargo), under each portfolio, meaning under each <context_service> tag.

    • rft.isbn_list – A repeatable parameter that allows you to include additional ISBNs beyond the first ISBN included with the rft_isbn parameter to allow the Alma link resolver to process multiple ISBNs. For example: rft.isbn=1234567852&rft.isbn_list=1234567890&rft.isbn_list=2334156767&rft.isbn_list=3445688910

    • rft.eisbn_list – A repeatable parameter that allows you to include additional EISBNs beyond the first EISBN included with the rft_eisbn parameter to allow the Alma link resolver to process multiple EISBNs. For example: rft.eisbn=1234567852&rft.eisbn_list=1234567890&rft.eisbn_list=2334156767&rft.eisbn_list=3445688910
