Sort Order of Aleph Items in the Primo Locations Tab?

    • Article Type: Q&A
    • Product: Primo
    • Product Version: 4

    Question

How can Primo Locations tab sort order of item records be controlled (i.e., click the + next to a Location name and see the item details via OvP).
Does Aleph table xxx01/tab_z30_sort control the order in which Aleph returns the item data to Primo?

    Answer

The Primo Locations tab item sort order is controlled by the BIB library version of tab_z30_sort (not the ADM library version).
Specifically, it is the WWW-A option that controls Primo OvP item sorting.
If the Aleph table is changed, those changes should be visible in Primo after restarting the Aleph web server and refreshing the Primo display (CTRL-F5).

    Additional Information

This is also the setting that also controls item sorting in the Aleph Web OPAC.
