Links to Document Insights in Primo VE
Introduction
Patrons can get Document Insights for their articles, saving time by delivering key information at a glance and enhancing their research efficiency. When this feature is enabled, an Insights button appears in both the brief and full resource displays, offering users easy access to additional AI-driven functionalities related to each resource. Selecting the button opens a new window/tab displaying the Document Insights for the resource on the ProQuest platform.
Document Insights is an AI-powered feature that provides users with additional information about resources appearing in search results. It offers general context about the content of each resource, enabling users to review, analyze, and extract information from documents, and quickly and effectively assess their relevance for research.
This functionality is currently available to institutions with active subscriptions to applicable ProQuest solutions. (For more information, see ProQuest Research Assistant.)
The Document Insights only works if the ProQuest Research Assistant is enabled in your account.

Settings
The Document Insights option is activated separately per Discovery view in Primo.
- In the View Configuration page (Discovery > Display Configuration > Configure Views > [Add View or Edit an existing view]), select Display AI Insights links. For additional information, see Configuring Discovery Views for Primo VE.
The button label, tooltip, and Aria label of the Insights button can be customized at Discovery > Display Configuration > Labels by changing their default descriptions, as follows:

Supported ProQuest Products
Primo VE currently displays the Document Insights indication only for the Proquest products listed in the table below, where the corresponding collection is active for full text in Alma for the institution.
This list is controlled by CDI for the Primo VE Document Insights feature. As the Proquest Research Assistant becomes available in additional Proquest products, the configuration in CDI will change and this list will be updated (for more information, refer to https://support.proquest.com/s/article/ProQuest-Research-Assistant-FAQs?language=en_US).
