    Release notes

    Documentation

Rapido is a part of the resource sharing ecosystem. Rapido libraries connect peer to peer with partners across resource sharing solutions.

Option to skip self ownership check for requests routed to RapidILL partner

    What’s New Highlights Impact
Choose to skip self ownership check done when request is sent to RapidILL partner.
Today, mediation rules can be used checked for self ownership. If requests are released from mediation and assigned the RapidILL partner self ownership is reviewed a second time.
    See documentation
Rapido libraries can use mediation rules for self ownership checks on borrowing requests. Requests which are then routed to RapidILL partners are again checked via RapidILL functionality. A request is then updated to locally owned. This can result in staff redundant staff review on a request that was already mediated and reviewed. A new parameter will allow libraries to determine if they want to continue to have RapidILL self ownership checks.

    Lost/Damaged Invoicing

    What’s New Highlights Impact
Apply lost/damaged fees to requests and send lost/damaged invoices  to partners.
Lost/Damaged invoices will send letters to partners to communicate lost/damage fees. Libraries can track if invoices have been sent and paid.
    See documentation on lost/damaged invoices.

CERV Enhancement: Rapido Closing Periods: Due Dates & Renewals

    What’s New Highlights Impact

From the community: We noticed that Rapido does not consider closing periods entered in the calendar of the library (with ignore_lender_due_date parameter set as true). The due dates of Rapido requests are therefore not based on that calendar, while the due date of the loaned temporary item is. Consequently, a mismatch occurs, which in addition interferes with the renewals. We would like that: - Rapido considers the closing periods entered in the library calendar in Alma. - Rapido synchronises the borrowing and lending requests due dates. This functionality would be optional.

Rapido pod terms determine the loan period. and thus the due date. The due date will also be influenced by the library's calendar.

    See Release Notes

Rapido due dates for the pod to consider library calendar.
