Tagging your references
- Product: RefWorks
Adding tags to references provides an additional way to organize and manage your research across RefWorks collections. You can even search using a tag in the RefWorks search box.
You can tag a single reference or multiple references
To add a tag to references:
- Select the reference(s) you wish to tag.
- Click the Tag icon.
- Type your tag name in the search box, or select the tag from the list of existing tags. (Repeat this step to add additional tags)
- Click the Save button.
Your newly added tags are listed in the reference view, below the title of the reference (similar to how collections are listed).
To remove a tag from a reference:
- Locate the reference you want to remove the tag from.
- Click the Edit icon.
- Click on the "x" next to the tag you want to remove.
- Click Save to keep your changes or click Undo to add the tag back.
You can locate tagged references two ways:
- Click on the Tags icon in the left-hand navigation to display all the tags used in your references.
- Select a tag and all of the references with that tag will be displayed.
- Search for tags in the Search box:
- Select your tag and all references with that tag will be displayed.
