Symptoms

After installing Rosetta SP 9.1, "Significant Properties" DNX metadata of Files is missing, after running "TechMD extraction" Task that uses a "MediaInfo" or "ExifTool" bundled Plugin.

Causes 

An issue with Rosetta 9.1 MediaInfo/ExifTool Plugins' transformer.xsl internal reference to the plugin's properties.xml storage location.

Defect Status

The issue will be permanently fixed in Rosetta 9.2.

Fix for Rosetta 9.1

• Upload attached rosetta_fix_for_mediainfo+exiftool_plugins-v1.1.csh (MD5 = 2dfbbdd2bd9a80ff27c07a7b439a2bd8) to a temporary directory (in one Rosetta server), like: /exlibris/tmp
• Verify the file has execute permissions, is owned by dps Linux user
• Fix the script to unix format, by running:

dos2unix rosetta_fix_for_mediainfo+exiftool_plugins-v1.1.csh

• Run the script as "dps" Linux user on one Rosetta Application servers:

csh -f rosetta_fix_for_mediainfo+exiftool_plugins-v1.1.csh <option>

• 'option' is either:
  •  -c    Checks if bundled MediaInfo / ExifTool plugins deployment is missing or have XSL with unexpected path to XML

    xsltproc Linux package is required. For more information, refer to the following article:

  •  -f     Fix XSL internal path to XML, for affected MediaInfo / ExifTool bundled plugins
             The fix is applied immediately (no need to restart Rosetta Application)
     
• Once the fix is applied, from Rosetta UI, rerun "TechMD extraction" Task on any affected Entity to extract its "Significant Properties" DNX metadata.
