    Gale Target Gets OpenURL is Invalid Error

    Problem Symptoms:
    Galegroup Targets link to a page showing this error:
    The OpenURL is invalid. The Resolver does not support the metadata keys describing the Referent. See the OpenURL Home page for more information.

    The metadata keys supported by GPS are:
    artnum
    atitle
    aufirst
    aulast
    btitle
    date
    isbn
    issn
    issue
    jtitle
    sici
    spage
    volume

    Cause:
    * Linking Parameter (L/P) table is missing $$LOC_ID value.

    Resolution:
    To add $$LOC_ID authentication value:
    1) Click on "S" button for problematic Gale target in KB Manager target list
    2) Click on "L/P" button on the target service level
    3) In the resulting "Linking Parameters" screen, find $$LOC_ID field
    4) Add the $$LOC_ID value into $$LOC_ID field of L/P table
    If $$LOC_ID value is unavailable, request it from the institution's Gale representative

    Additional Information

    * $$LOC_ID is an authentication id Gale provides to SFX customers
    * $$LOC_ID should be added to the L/P table for any newly activated Gale Target Service
