    Which citations are available in Summon search results only to authenticated users?

    For most content within Summon, searching does not require authentication into your library's system. In other words, an off-site patron who has not yet authenticated can perform a search and get citation results. (Of course, until they are authenticated, users can see the full text only of open-access documents.)

    However, for some databases (such as the Web of Science citation index), citations do not appear in Summon search results unless the patron has authenticated with your library system. The Authentication Banner allows unauthenticated users to authenticate prior to conducting a search.
