    Voyager to Alma Migration Query: Item records that have data in the Spine Label Field

    Created By: Laura Guy (contact)

    When migrating from Voyager to Alma, it may be desirable to identify those item records that have data in the Spine Label Field.  Alma does not have a corresponding field and these data may be lost during migration. For more information discuss this with your migration team.

    This query, which can be run using Voyager Prepackaged Access Reports, will identify data that should be moved to another field, such as the item note field.

    SELECT ITEM.ITEM_ID, ITEM.SPINE_LABEL, MFHD_MASTER.MFHD_ID,
    LOCATION.LOCATION_NAME, MFHD_MASTER.NORMALIZED_CALL_NO,
    MFHD_MASTER.DISPLAY_CALL_NO, MFHD_ITEM.ITEM_ENUM, MFHD_ITEM.CHRON,
    MFHD_ITEM.YEAR, MFHD_ITEM.CAPTION, MFHD_ITEM.FREETEXT, ITEM.COPY_NUMBER,
    ITEM_BARCODE.ITEM_BARCODE, ITEM.PIECES, ITEM_NOTE.ITEM_NOTE
    FROM ((LOCATION INNER JOIN MFHD_MASTER ON LOCATION.LOCATION_ID = MFHD_MASTER.LOCATION_ID)
    INNER JOIN ((ITEM INNER JOIN MFHD_ITEM ON ITEM.ITEM_ID = MFHD_ITEM.ITEM_ID)
    LEFT JOIN ITEM_BARCODE ON ITEM.ITEM_ID = ITEM_BARCODE.ITEM_ID)
    ON MFHD_MASTER.MFHD_ID = MFHD_ITEM.MFHD_ID)
    LEFT JOIN ITEM_NOTE ON ITEM.ITEM_ID = ITEM_NOTE.ITEM_ID
    WHERE (((ITEM.SPINE_LABEL) Is Not Null))
    ORDER BY LOCATION.LOCATION_NAME, MFHD_MASTER.NORMALIZED_CALL_NO;
