    ACQ/CAT: PO Line Item BIB Not Linked to MFHD after Re-Link MFHD in Cat

    Symptoms

    If a MFHD is linked to a PO line item, user is able to link it to a different bib record

    When attempting to delete the bib, receive error message: Unable to delete bibliographic record. PO line items must be deleted first.

    Defect Status

    Issue VYG-816 is fixed in catsvr, Cataloging Client and batchcat for Voyager 8.2.0.

    Replication steps

    Scenario 1
    1. In Cataloging, create a bib/mfhd or do a search for a bib that has a mfhd attached to it. Remember the title. This is bib A, mfhd A.
    2. In Acq, create PO and add line item to it (bib B is now linked to the line item). Intended Location=A (MFHD B is now linked to the bib and line item).
    3. Highlight the line item and and then click on Line Item Details.
      1. In Bib tab, click on Change Bib Record.
      2. Search for bib A (the bib in above step that you created/looked at in Cataloging)
      3. Click on OK to select it.
      4. In the Change Holdings Records for Line Item Copies screen, click on the ellipses next to the New Holdings, the Link to Holdings will appear.
      5. Select the holdings and click on Re-Link.
      6. Click Save, then OK.
    4. The PO line item is now linked to Bib/MFHD A.
    5. In Cataloging, retrieve the MFHD B. From the MFHD, click on Record, then Relink Holding to Bibliographic. Enter the bib id of bib A
    Scenario 2
    1. In Cataloging, create a bib/mfhd or do a search for a bib that has a mfhd attached to it. Remember the title. This is bib A, mfhd A.
    2. In Acq, create PO and add line item to it (bib B is now linked to the line item). Intended Location=A (MFHD B is now linked to the bib and line item).
    3. In Cataloging, retrieve the MFHD B. From the MFHD, click on Record, then Relink Holding to Bibliographic. Enter the bib id of bib A.

    Workaround

    Relink the mfhd to the correct bib record manually.
