BULK : Dummy mapping not accepted for Multi Mfhds

    • Article Type: Known Issue
    • Product: Voyager
    • Product Version: 8.1.0
    • Relevant for Installation Type: Total Care; Dedicated-Direct; Direct; Local

    Symptoms

    * No mfhd is created when bulk importing multiple mfhds and location mapping field does not exist in the incoming bib, even with default mapping set in Mapping tab.

    Defect Status

Issue 16384-22049 (VYG-4655) is currently in Development.

    Workaround

Edit values from step 1.b.i in replication steps to point to existing field (i.e., 245 |a); it does not matter if data in this field maps to values in the Mapping tab - the field simply needs to exist in the incoming record.

    Additional Information

    Replication steps:

    1. In SysAdmin, create rule with following
      • Rules tab
        • Bibliographic duplicate detection = [any profile]
        • Expected Character Set = MARC21 UTF-8
      • Profiles tab
        • Multiple Mfhds > Bibs, Mfhds, POs
          • Multiple ... Main tag = 999
          • Multiple ... Subfield for location code = x
        • Create PO/MFHD/Item for existing Bibs = Y
      • Mapping tab
        • Marc Item = *
        • Marc Location = *
        • Voyager Item Type & Location = [any valid type/location in drop-down]
        • Call number hierarchy = [any valid hierarchy in drop-down]
      • Orders box : choose values for all required parameters.
    2. Use bulk import rule to BulkImport attached record.
    3. Log shows:
1(1):Duplicate Bibs above threshold: replace 1, warning 0.
    BibID & rank
    64721 - 100
REPLACE Existing DB Bib record replaced.
no PO Number information found in bib.
    No MFHD created.
No multiple MFHD/item creation data from BIB: .64721

Other information: Behavior is same for all duplicate detection
