Barcoding serials causes premature close if barcode entered with scanner

Symptoms

• Workflows>Item Creation>"Show Item record on create" is checked
• Scan barcode into Item record during Serials Check-In results in window closing

Defect Status

Issue VYG-4872 is resolved for Voyager 9.1.1 and higher.

Replication steps

1. In Acquisitions > Tools > Workflows > Select the "Item Creation Tab" and ensure "Show Item Record on Create" is checked in the "Item Creation from Serials" frame.
2. Click OK.
3. Enter Serials Checkin from the left-hand menu.
4. Locate a serial with issues available for checkin.
5. Select an issue and click Accept.
6. Click "Receive."
7. Barcode field in item creation should be active; enter random text and press ENTER to simulate the carriage return appended by the scanner, or scan item barcode.
8. Item record attempts to close, prompting operator to save and return or close without saving.

Workaround

Click No at prompt to continue work and save changes.
