In Voyager cataloging client cannot manually replace records matching on BBID (BIBID, BIB_ID)
- Article Type: General
- Product: Voyager

Problem Symptoms:
When doing a manual import matching on the BBID (BIB_ID, BIBID) only, incoming record added to database instead of replaced or merged.
Cause:
Analysis of Issue VYG-4109 determined this behavior is by design. See Resolution.
Resolution:
Record > Import is not designed to match on 001.
Use File > Work Record to open file, records. Save to DB will match & replace based on 001.
OR
Use alternate matchpoint.
