    Question

    How can we bulk charge a file with a list of barcodes to a patron?

    Answer

    One way of doing this is using the "offline charge" feature of the Circulation client.  See the Circulation User's Guide, starting near the bottom of page 6-25 (Voyager 10).

    You would first create a text file in the given format (see figure 6-22).  Any text editor which supports user-defined macros, like Notepad++ or Sublime Text, can help you do this from your list of item barcodes easily.

    Then, once you have the right file format, you'd "upload" the offline charge file (page 6-30) and the items all should get charged out.

    Test your file carefully by starting out with just a couple of barcodes and check the results.
