Can Voyager Self Check Process a 'Checkout' request (SIP2: 11/12) without first processing a 'Patron Information' request (SIP2: 63/64)?

Answer

No. Voyager Self Check must successfully process a 'Patron Information' request before a 'Checkout' request can be processed. Failure to do so will result in an response (SIP2: 12 AF): "Unable to checkout item to patron. Patron submitted for checkout is different from last patron submitted for status request and validation."
