    Does the system retain patron history for items outstanding regardless of whether the System Administration - System - Miscellaneous option to "Retain Patron ID for Circ History" box is checked or not?

    Answer

    Circulation transactions remain in the database permanently, and the patron ID is retained permanently for those transactions when "Retain Patron ID for Circ History" box is checked in System Administration.
