OCLC tag table bib 9xx definitions are inconsistent

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Voyager
    • Product Version: 8.2.0

    Description:
    Bug Report Form, 16384-19089

    Date: 15 August 2012
    Module(s): Cataloging / Tag tables
    Release(s) replicated in: 7.0.1 – 8.1.2
Last version without bug (if applicable): n/a

Expected results: A tags in the BmarcNxx.cfg files would have a corresponding entry in the Master.cfg file for a tag table set.

Actual results: For OCLC tag tables, none of the tags in the Bmarc9xx.cfg file have a corresponding entry in the Master.cfg file.

Workflow implications: Tags defined in OCLC Bmarc9xx.cfg will not validate in Cataloging. Either no 9xx fields should be defined, or a corresponding entry should exist in Master.cfg.

Replication: Tags defined in Bmarc9xx for OCLC:

    [901]
    [910]
    [911]
    [936]
    [938]
    [945]
    [946]
    [947]
    [948]
    [949]
    [956]
    [984]
    [987]
    [989]
    [994]

    Workaround: Manually edit tag tables.

    Resolution:
    Fixed in Voyager 8.2.0.
