Unable to delete holdings record in Cataloging

Problem Symptoms

Attempting to delete the holding (MFHD) record in Cataloging results in error message: "Unable to delete holding record. PO must be deleted first."

Cause

MFHD record is attached to a purchase order and/or invoice. The PO or invoice must be deleted before deleting the MFHD - these are attached in the database, and the links should not be broken.

Resolution

Delete the purchase order or invoice before deleting the MFHD record
OR
Suppress the MFHD from the OPAC (optional: place local note in MFHD that this holding no longer exists).
