Voy-Primo Extract:if no item type/loc info on rsv list, no course rsv info extracted

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Voyager
    • Product Version: 8.1.0

    Description:
Bug Report Form for Issue 16384-7505

    Module: vprimo extract
    Release(s) replicated in: 7.1.0
    Server Platform(s) affected: Solaris/all
PC O/S (if this is PC specific): n/a
Browser type & version (if WebVoyage): n/a

Expected Results: If an item record is attached to a reserve list and set to On Reserve, if the record meets the criteria for extraction, the record should be extracted with course information exported in the 952 tag.

Actual Results: If the reserve list in question does not have reserve location and reserve item type information attached to it, even if the item is On Reserve, when the record is extracted, there will be no 952 information.

Workflow Implications: If sites don’t use the reserve location and reserve item type fields in the reserve list header, items on reserve for those lists will not export course reserve info for Primo; some sites choose not to use these fields because they don’t want temporary locations/item types for items on reserve.

    Replication steps:
In Circulation, create a new reserve list (making sure not to select anything in the Reserve Location and Reserve Item Types dropdowns).
Add a bib/item to the reserve list, and set the item to On Reserve.
Run an extract with criteria that will catch the record you added to the list (for example, run Pprimoexp.sel using -B -E, with CR option set to Y, and 952 as an enrichment tag).
View the extract file – you’ll see that no 952 with course reserve info was extracted with this record.

    Resolution:
Fixed in Primo extract in 8.1.0.
