WebV: OPAC Print Function cuts off data

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Voyager
    • Product Version: 8.2.1

    Description:
Bug Report Form for Issue 16384-9601
    Module(s): WebVoy?ge
Server platform(s) affected: Tested on Solaris
    PC OS (if applicable): N/A
Browser & version (if applicable): IE 7, FF 3.x

    Release(s) replicated in: 7.x.x
Last version without bug (if applicable): 6.5.4

    Expected results:
A printout from the OPAC's Print function will contain all of the information shown on the preview page

    Actual results:
A printout from the OPAC's Print function does not contain all of the information shown on the preview page. Specifically, fields that would wrap across two pages are either partially cut off, or completely removed.

Workflow implications: Printing is a core feature of WebVoy?ge. There are known issues with the web browser's print function, so the print button has to work.

    Replication steps:
1.Run a search that will yield at least 10 records (e.g. GKEY search for “fish”), but first.....
2.Alter the search options on the basic search page so that 25 records per page are shown
3.Select all of the records on this page, and then click on Print
4.On the print preview page, click print again, and then send the resulting document to any printer
5.Look at any section of information that spills over into two pages. You'll notice that certain fields are either cut off or not being displayed at all

    Resolution:
    Fixed in Voyager 8.2.1
