WebV: 104X does not display public note

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Voyager
    • Product Version: 8.1.1

    Description:
    Bug Report Issue 16384-18161

    Module: WebVoyage
    Release replicated in: 7.0.1-8.1.1

Expected results: 1042 display code would display all relevant subfields in 854/864 mfhd pair.

Actual results: 1040, 1042 and 1044 display codes do not display mfhd 86X subfield z (Public Note) in WebVoyage.

Workflow implications: Public notes form mfhd cannot be displayed in WebVoyage using 104X display codes code.

    Replication steps:
In Cataloging, find a record with an 854/864 pair (or 853/863, 855/865) in the mfhd.
Add a public note to subfield z to the 864 in the mfhd and save the record.
In your tomcat skin, enable the 1042 (or 1040, 1044) display code (disable other display tags for clarity).
    Find the record in Tomcat.
Note that the public note does not display.

Other information: Replicable in Classic interface as well.

Workaround: Use field and subfield tags instead of the display codes and include the subfield z to display the public note in WebVoyage.

    Resolution:
