    Question

What does "In Transit" interval do?

    Answer

If item discharged at foreign Circulation Desk (i.e., a Circulation Desk in a different policy from the item's home location), the system set the item status to In Transit until it is discharged at its destination. The interval for the status indicates how long it should take for the item to move from the foreign Circulation Desk to its destination.

If the item is not discharged at its home Circulation Desk before the In Transit interval passes, it will be listed on the Missing In Transit report the next time it is run.
