    360 KB: DOAB DIRECTORY OF OPEN ACCESS BOOKS: Multiple Titles Will Be Removed -- effective June 2023

    What is happening to the DOAB Directory of Open Access Books collection (dbid V1H)?  

    The title list supplied by provider contains both book-level and chapter-level entries. It also contains book titles that are not fully available with full text, just a selection of chapters. A lot of the customers requested removal of both chapter-level entries and books with only partial full text available.

    We have negotiated with provider and received a set of criteria that need to be applied to the title list of the DOAB DIRECTORY OF OPEN ACCESS BOOKS collection (dbid V1H) to detect the entries that should be removed. We have tested these instructions and saw that they have successfully detected the relevant entries. 

    Applying these instructions resulted in multiple titles being removed from the DOAB DIRECTORY OF OPEN ACCESS BOOKS collection. These changes were coordinated with the provider and will be released on June 4th, 2023.
