360 KB: LGBT Studies in Video from Alexander Street: Database Name Change -- October 2022

What is happening to the name of database LGBT Studies in Video?

Alexander Street recently released LGBT Studies in Video, Volume 2. They have requested we update the names of the existing LGBT Studies in Video databases to include "Volume 1."

Therefore, we will be changing the database names in the Knowledgebase. The content of the databases, and the database IDs, will remain the same.

This change will take effect on October 7, 2022:

Before October 7 After October 7 DB code
LGBT Studies in Video (Australia) LGBT Studies in Video, Volume 1 (Australia) AILBY
LGBT Studies in Video (Canada) LGBT Studies in Video, Volume 1 (Canada) ABRAD
LGBT Studies in Video (China) LGBT Studies in Video, Volume 1 (China) ACFLY
LGBT Studies in Video (Outside North America) LGBT Studies in Video, Volume 1 (Outside North America) ~5H
LGBT Studies in Video (United States) LGBT Studies in Video, Volume 1 (United States) ADPGA

Actions you may need to take:

    • If you are a 360 MARC Updates client and have requested the custom specification that adds the database name as it appears in the Client Center/Intota to MARC records, you can expect to see some change records when you get your MARC records after October 7, 2022.
    • If your library uses a third-party service (such as EBSCO A-Z, etc.), custom scripts to manage data, or other non-ProQuest tools that require the database name to function, you should note the change in ProQuest's database name in order to retain the proper relationship/mapping between those tools.
