What is happening to the Metapress databases?
This is the master article that will link all Metapress migrations. Please refer to this spreadsheet for the databases that will be hidden, which databases to subscribe to, and the URL changes that will occur.Metapress database (DBID: MET) - has been retired. The individual titles are no longer available on the Metapress platform and have been dispersed by their publishers. There is no one place to subscribe; please subscribe to the individual titles as available across different providers. For example, the title "AATCC review" is now available on the Ingenta platform, so subscribe to that title through DBID: RIG.
Note: some of the Actions described in the spreadsheet have not yet occurred unless specifically noted. Please subscribe to this article to receive notifications when migrations occur.
Action you need to take:
- Once the above change takes effect, update the holdings in your Intota or Client Center profile by subscribing to the new database instead of the old database. For information on how to update your profile, and considerations prior to removing the old database from your profile:
- If you are a 360 MARC Updates client and have requested the custom specification that adds direct URLs or database specific information to MARC records, you can expect to see some change records when you get your MARC records after the effective date listed in the table.
