360 KB: SciTech databases from ProQuest: Database Name Changes -- February 2019
What is happening to the names of the SciTech databases?
The provider ProQuest is changing the names of the SciTech databases.
Therefore, we will be changing the database names in the Knowledgebase. The content of the databases, and the database IDs, will remain the same.
These changes will take effect on 27 February:
|Database Code||Old Database Name||New Database Name|
|K7-||ProQuest Computer Science Journals||Computer Science Database|
|7X2||ProQuest Agricultural Science Collection||Agricultural Science Collection|
|ABJCF||Materials Science & Engineering Database||Materials Science & Engineering Collection|
|ATCPS||Agricultural & Environmental Science Database||Agricultural & Environmental Science Collection|
|M7S||ProQuest Engineering Journals||Engineering Database|
|KB.||ProQuest Materials Science Journals||Materials Science Database|
|P5Z||ProQuest Advanced Technologies & Aerospace Journals||Advanced Technologies & Aerospace Database|
|ARAPS||Advanced Technologies & Aerospace Database||Advanced Technologies & Aerospace Collection|
|BBNVY||Biological Science Database||Biological Science Collection|
|M7P||ProQuest Biological Science Journals||Biological Science Database|
|M0K||Agriculture Journals||Agricultural Science Database|
|BKSAR||Earth, Atmospheric & Aquatic Science Database||Earth, Atmospheric & Aquatic Science Collection|
Actions you may need to take:
- If you are a 360 MARC Updates client and have requested the custom specification that adds the database name as it appears in the Client Center/Intota to MARC records, you can expect to see some change records when you get your MARC records after 27 February.
- If your library uses a third-party service (such as EBSCO A-Z, etc.), custom scripts to manage data, or other non-ProQuest tools that require the database name to function, you should note the change in ProQuest's database name in order to retain the proper relationship/mapping between those tools.
