360 KB: Some Manchester University Press Databases: Databases Name Change -- December 2020

What is happening to the names of some Manchester University Press databases?

The provider Manchester University Press has changed the name of some databases.

Therefore, we will be changing the databases names in the Knowledgebase. The content of the databases, and the databases ID, will remain the same.

This change will take effect on December 2, 2020:

Database ID (DBID) Database Before December 2, 2020 Database After December 2, 2020
    ABWRG manchesterhive Manchester Hive
    AASNE manchesteropenhive Manchester Open Hive
ACTNG Manchester Film Studies Manchester Film Studies 2019
AFTJE Manchester Gothic Manchester Gothic 2017
AAOVX Manchester History of Medicine Manchester History of Medicine 2019
ABOTB Manchester International Relations Manchester International Relations 2019
MNMEO Manchester Medieval Sources Online Manchester Medieval Sources Online (MMSO) 2013
AAXQQ Manchester Religious Studies Manchester Religious Studies 2019
AIMVP Manchester Political Studies Manchester Political Studies 2019
AETYH Manchester Security, Conflict & Peace (MSCP) Manchester Security, Conflict & Peace (MSCP) 2018
AFCAQ Manchester Shakespeare Manchester Shakespeare 2018
AATPG Manchester Studies in Imperialism (MSI) Manchester Studies in Imperialism (MSI) 2017
CQF Manchester Medieval Studies Manchester Medieval Studies 2020

Actions you may need to take:

    • If you are a 360 MARC Updates client and have requested the custom specification that adds the database name as it appears in the Client Center/Intota to MARC records, you can expect to see some change records when you get your MARC records after December 2, 2020.
    • If your library uses a third-party service (such as EBSCO A-Z, etc.), custom scripts to manage data, or other non-ProQuest tools that require the database name to function, you should note the change in ProQuest's database name in order to retain the proper relationship/mapping between those tools.
