360 KB: Thomson Reuters: Provider Name Change -- Dec. 2016

What is happening to the provider's name of several Thomson Reuters databases?

The provider Thomson Reuters has sold its IP & Science Business Unit. The databases which belong to the IP & Science Business Unit are listed in 360 Knowledgebase under various Thomson Reuters names.

Therefore, we will be changing the provider name in the 360 Knowledgebase. The content of the databases associated with this provider will remain the same.

This change will take effect on December 16, 2016:

Provider Name Before December 16, 2016 Database Name Database Code
    Thomson Reuters Westlaw Cortellis YNXXJ
Thomson Reuters Westlaw Derwent II 1F9
Thomson Reuters Westlaw Derwent Innovations Index HLS
Thomson Reuters Westlaw Derwent World Patents Index BFM
    Thomson ResearchSoft EndNote FRI
Thomson Reuters (Scientific) Essential Science Indicators (ESI) BNS
    Thomson Reuters (Scientific) InCites L7G
Thomson Reuters (Scientific) Journal Citation Reports CKZ
Thomson Reuters Westlaw Journal Citation Reports (CD-Rom version) FKE
    Thomson Reuters Westlaw Techstreet W8Q
Thomson Reuters (Scientific) Web of Science EGQ

Provider's Name for all of these databases after December 16, 2016: Clarivate Analytics

Actions you may need to take:

    • If you are a 360 Counter or Intota Assessment client, you will need to make some changes the next time you upload consolidated reports.
    • If your library uses a third-party service (such as EBSCO A-Z, etc.), custom scripts to manage data, or other non-ProQuest tools that require the provider name to function, you should note the change in provider name in order to retain the proper relationship/mapping between those tools.
