    360 KB: Early American Imprints databases from NewsBank: Database Name Change -- effective June 2017

    What is happening to the names of Early American Imprints databases?

    Some of the Early American Imprints databases from the provider NewsBank are named incorrectly.

    Therefore, we will be changing the databases names in the Knowledgebase. The database IDs will remain the same. Please note that these are zero title databases.

    This change will take effect on June 22nd, 2017:

    • Before June 22nd, 2017: old database name After June 22nd, 2017: new database name Database Code
      Early American Imprints, Series I: Evans Digital Edition Early American Imprints, Series I: Evans, 1639-1800 BOR
      Early American Imprints, Series I, Evans, 1639-1800. Supplement II, American Antiquarian Society Early American Imprints, Series I: Supplement from the American Antiquarian Society, 1652-1800 JWGQH

    Also, please note that Early American Imprints, Series I: Evans, 1639-1800 (code AEHOI) is the duplicate of database Early American Imprints, Series I: Evans Digital Edition (code BOR), therefore Early American Imprints, Series I: Evans, 1639-1800 (code AEHOI) database will be hidden in the Knowledgebase on June 22nd, 2017.

     


    UPDATE: Please note that per newest information, the databases from the list above will not be renamed on June 22nd, 2017. Instead they will be hidden in the Knowledgebase, since they are the duplicates of the databases available from the provider Readex.     Actions you may need to take:

    • If you are a 360 MARC Updates client and have requested the custom specification that adds the database name as it appears in the Client Center/Intota to MARC records, you can expect to see some change records when you get your MARC records after June 22nd, 2017.
    • If your library uses a third-party service (such as EBSCO A-Z, etc.), custom scripts to manage data, or other non-ProQuest tools that require the database name to function, you should note the change in ProQuest's database name in order to retain the proper relationship/mapping between those tools.
