An Open Access collection may include individual titles that are considered “hybrid”: a publication that contains a mix of Open Access and subscription (fee-based) articles.

At this time we are only able to flag a collection as Open Access; we are not able to flag it as hybrid.

If title(s) within an Open Access collection are not completely Open Access, we will work with the provider to understand the Open Access nature of the collection and its title(s). We can request that the provider make changes to the coverage thresholds (e.g. the Open Access range ends in 2019) in order to more accurately reflect the Open Access range or remove the title if there are more articles that are subscription rather than Open Access. In some cases we may be able to make the change as a one-time fix.
