American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) Platform Change

American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) no longer authenticates subscriber access on their old platform at www.astm.org.

All access is now via the ASTM Compass platform at https://compass.astm.org/.

ASTM is working on updating the links they provide in their KBART title list, and have stated this is a known issue and they are working on an enhancement to take Compass users to the Compass platform.

Update 16/5/2022: ASTM has let us know that they expect to have link redirects working in the 3rd quarter, and they are still working on providing updated KBART title lists.

Update 18/7/2022: ASTM has let us know that hey expect to have link redirects working note earier than until closer to 2022 Q4. Once the redirect links gets fixed, the KBART links are going to work because when an user clicks on the publication title in the KBART file it will redirect to them that publication in ASTM Compass if they are subscriber.

Update March - September 2023: ASTM collections in Alma were updated using the new title lists supplied by provider. Once the proxy is enabled and recognized by ASTM, the links are redirecting as expected to https://compass.astm.org/. We do have a number of cases indicating that there are still some issues with the journal links, especially when a proxy is involved. These issues were reported to provider and we also have followed up on these issues a number of times. Unfortunately, provider still has no timeline for a resolution.
