Collection Development: Consortia Central Office Shared Print Insight Dashboard 

What’s New Highlights Impact

An out-of-the-box insight* dashboard focusing on identifying single copies based on various criteria to support deselection ("weeding")  at the consortia level. This dashboard is one of several dashboards designed to support collection development.

*Insight Dashboards are built with Oracle Data Visualization. 

  • Out-of-the-box data visualization project.

  • Useful insights to help consortia identify potential physical inventory for retention and space reclamation.  

Provides consortia with an overview of the collections held by their members for efficient collection management at the consortia level.

What’s New Highlights Impact

Following the recent 5.1 COUNTER publication,  COUNTER data will be adjusted to meet the latest updates in the Usage (COUNTER) and E-Inventory subject areas.

Enables institutions to compare and analyze usage data effectively according to the latest COUNTER data release.

Collection Development:  Books – Record Distribution by Language and Publication Place

What’s New Highlights Impact

An out-of-the-box insight* dashboard focusing on identifying gaps in key metrics such as the languages of the titles and their countries of publication.

*Insight Dashboards are built with Oracle Data Visualization.

  • Identifying gaps for more balanced and diverse collections

Include Invoice Notes in Reports

What’s New Highlights Impact
A new capability to generate a report based on the invoice note field.  Allow acquisitions departments to extract useful invoice data that may be unique to their institution.  Enhance acquisition workflows by enabling libraries to easily extract and analyze unique invoice data and improve financial tracking.

Enhanced reporting options for Network Zone E-Resources,  focusing on improving the ability of consortia members to generate detailed and actionable reports. 

 

The new functionality will enable better analysis of Network managed e-resources.

Include "General Notes" for Electronic Collections, Services, and Portfolios

What’s New Highlights Impact
A new capability to generate a report that includes the General Notes for Electronic Collections, Services, and Portfolios Allow libraries to extract useful information for their electronic resources stored in the General Notes fields. This will provide greater clarity for electronic resource management, and will make the General Notes easily accessible.

  • Out-of-the-box data visualization project.

  • Useful insights on the institution's physical inventory, its retention status, and more to support decisions regarding retention.

  • Useful insights to help institutions identify potential physical inventory for weeding and space reclamation.  

Enables institutions to identify items for retention and deselection,  taking into account various factors and enabling data-driven decisions regarding the complex area of collection development.
