Collection Development:  E-resource Insight Dashboard

What’s New Highlights Impact

An E-resource out-of-the-box insight dashboard* focusing on actionable data to support electronic resource renewal decisions. This is the first of several dashboards designed to support Collection Development.

*Insight Dashboards built with Oracle Data Visualization.

  • Out of the Box Data Visualization Project.

  • Useful insights on electronic resource usage and cost to support collection development decisions.

Enables institutions and consortia to make data driven decisions regarding the complex area of collection development.

Analytics Dictionary - Funds Expenditure Subject Area

What’s New Highlights Impact
Analytics Online Help documentation will be enriched by offering a “data dictionary”, clarifying the relation between data in Alma and Analytics.
  • The first subject area to be enriched in this way will be Funds Expenditure.
  • A column will be added to the fields table describing the location and label in Alma.
Clarity in understanding the data represented in Analytics will ease the use and creation of Analytics reports, dashboards, and visualizations.

National Reporting - ACRL/IPEDS Out-of-the-Box Report: Integration with LibInsight

What’s New Highlights Impact
Support National Reporting by offering powerful out-of-the-box ACRL/IPEDS report which will include the relevant data from LibInsight*.
*This feature will is relevant to LibInsight users only.
  • Integration of LibInsight dataset in Alma Analytics for easier reporting in one place.
  • Out-of-the-box reports that accumulate data in one place.
Saving time by offering a ready-made out of the Box ACRL/IPEDS report template.

What’s New Highlights Impact
A new Analytics Usage Insight Dashboard* to support institutions overview and understanding  of their Analytics usage.

  • Analytics usage is transparent and visual.
  • Information regarding running times.
  • Information regarding Analytics errors and running issues.
More transparency and self support regarding Analytics usage in the Analytics administrator's institution.

Collection Development: Last Copy Insight Dashboard

What’s New Highlights Impact

An out-of-the-box insight* dashboard focusing on identifying last copies based on various criteria and support weeding and rentention decisions. This dashboard is one of several dashboards designed to support Collection Development.

*Insight Dashboards are built with Oracle Data Visualization. 

  • Out of the Box Data Visualization Project.
  • Useful insights on printed items, their retention status, and more to support decisions regarding their maintenance both at the library and consortia level.
Enables institutions and consortia make data driven decisions regarding the complex area of collection development.

An out-of-the-box insight* dashboard enabling institutions to compare their collections with peer or aspiring institutions to better better evaluate their collections.

Enhanced User Experience: "Send Now" One Time Share Functionality

What’s New Highlights Impact
Analytics Admins can send an analytics object to their colleagues on a one-time basis.
  • An addition to the improved flexible scheduling feature, this feature allows one-time sharing rather than recurring sharing.
  • Internal users and external emails can be selected for one-time sending.
  • PDF/ Excel or deep link sharing depending on recipient and analytics type.
Easy, flexible, and intuitive options for sharing analytics with colleagues.

Enhanced User Experience: Admin Global "Pin to Menu"

What’s New Highlights Impact
Analytics Admins can globally pin an analytics object so it will appear on all selected roles and users menus.
  • Admin can chose to pin globally or have users add for themselves.
  • Once pinned, each user can unpin if they want.
Additional support capabilities added to Analytics admin for easy and flexible analytics object sharing.

DARA Insights Integrated with Workflows

What’s New Highlights Impact
A more seamless connection between Analytics insight data and workflows in Alma. Actionable data will trigger recommendations and workflows in Alma.
This feature will be done as part of the  "Collection Development" theme.
  • Recommendations in Alma in the form of a task list triggered by conditional data identified in Analytics.
  • Workflow suggestions in Alma triggered by conditional data identified in Analytics.
Enabling a more structured workflow for institutions and consortia to make data driven decisions in the complex area of collection development.

Letters and Notices Information 

What’s New Highlights Impact
Information regarding patron facing letters and notices will be added  to Alma Analytics.
Sample business cases include:
  • A coherent visual overview of the library in various areas.
  • The number of overdue notifications per item counted by library.
  • How many claim letters were sent, and to which vendors, in the last year.
Institutions will have an additional way to evaluate library workflows.
