Usage Indication for Electronic Resources - Overlap Analysis

What’s New Highlights Impact
The reports generated by the Overlap Analysis tool will include link resolver usage information for electronic resources that are part of the institution's inventory.   A new column will be added to the Overlap Analysis report and will indicate usage for the specific title/resource.   Presenting usage information will enable institutions to make smart decisions regarding removing or adding electronic inventory to the library collection.

Automatic Upload of Electronic Holdings - Taylor & Francis Journals 

What’s New Highlights Impact
The existing Upload Electronic Holdings from Taylor & Francis books will be enhanced to support Taylor & Francis Journals as well. This will replace the current manual, multi-step workflow for managing Taylor & Francis Journals holdings. 
  • Customer-specific electronic holdings for Taylor & Francis Journals content will be activated automatically.​

  • The integration runs on a fixed schedule.

Reduces manual work involved in activating and maintaining the library holdings of Taylor&Francis Journals electronic resources.

What’s New Highlights Impact
A new "Public Access Model" field will be added to electronic collections. When defined, it will be the default public access model for all the portfolios of the electronic collection, unless defined at the portfolio level.
  • It will be possible to define the "Public Access Model" for the entire collection.

  • If defined in the level of portfolio, the portfolio-level public access model will be used.

Many ebook collections have the same access model for all the related portfolios (for example: unlimited (UA)). Today the definition has to be done for each portfolio. Being able to set this at the collection level will save time and effort.

What’s New Highlights Impact

Upload Electronic Holdings from SAGE will replace the current manual, multi-step workflow for managing SAGE holdings. 

  • Customer-specific electronic holdings for SAGE content will be activated automatically.​

  • The integration runs on a fixed schedule.

Reduces manual work involved in activating and maintaining the library holdings of SAGE electronic resources.

What’s New Highlights Impact

Today, the central office operator can manage electronic resources in the Network Zone and make these resources available for the entire network OR member(s) Institution Zone (s). 
With this feature, the central office operator can make electronic resources available for specific groups of libraries/campuses within the member (IZ) institution.

  • Configure Network Zone Available For groups based on member (IZ) institutions Available For groups.

  • Activate Network Zone electronic resources based on member (IZ) institutions Available For groups.

  • Enable Link Resolver access to electronic resources managed in the Network Zone for Institution Zone library/campus.

 

The central office will be able to work more efficiently by centrally managing electronic resources on behalf of libraries/campuses hosted in member Institution Zones.

E-Resource Overview - Out-of-the-box Insight Dashboard

What’s New Highlights Impact

An out-of-the-box insight* dashboard  providing an overview of E-Resource activity

*Insight Dashboards are built with Oracle Data Visualization. 

  • Out of the Box Data Visualization Project.

  • Visualizes information such as availability, usage of electronic resources, and more.

Providing e-resource librarians an overview of the resource activity to enable them to meet their KPIs and increase efficiency.

Electronic Titles Staff Search - Early Access Enhanced UX

What’s New Highlights Impact

The Electronic Titles Staff Search will be updated and redesigned for better usability, performance, productivity, and overall user experience.

  • A new “side by side” presentation will save users from having to access a designated page to review entity details.
  • Ability to use multi-value selection facets.

  • Ability to perform cross-page bulk operations.

  • Display more information.

  • Quickly perform actions on titles.

Workflow simplification will be achieved by an enhanced user experience, facilitating a smoother user-friendly layout and navigation options.

The new layout will enable easy switching between ongoing tasks in your main workflow and any peripheral tasks, enabling efficient work with electronic resources.

Community Zone Update Task List - Intuitive Visual Breakdown

What’s New Highlights Impact
The Community Zone Update Task List will be enhanced to present users with a visual breakdown of all the recent updates. A dedicated chart will be added to the Community Zone Update Task List and will hold a visual presentation of the report types and the number of changes for each report type. Users will be able to quickly review a summary of the overall changes available in the task list.
