Oracle Data Visualization connected to Alma

What’s New Highlights Impact
Data Visualization will be available via Alma
  • DV reports can be added as objects to Alma similar to OAS reports.
  • DV reports can be viewed, scheduled, and sent via the Alma platform
Easily and intuitively create reports demonstrating KPI's and trends that are integrated with your Alma workflows

Alma Analytics Enhanced UX: New Analytics Menu 

What’s New Highlights Impact
New Analytics Menu
  • The menu will be reorganized to offer report access based on user and role permissions
  • Report links can be added to "Favorites"
  • No object list (Sharing will be done directly from report lists)
OAS reports will be shown in an orderly manner and will be more easily accessed

Alma Analytics Enhanced UX: Easy Report Sharing and Scheduling

What’s New Highlights Impact
Easy sharing and scheduling of reports in Alma
  • Sharing will be done directly from report lists
  • User level sharing will be enabled
  • "Quick report link" to be shared with any Alma user
  • New scheduling module enabling the user to choose his own times to receive reports
  • Option to schedule a "live report link" for live data
Sharing reports will be easy and intuitive with user level sharing, flexible options for scheduling and quick link reports available for Alma users

What’s New Highlights Impact
 Alma"Homepage" customized dashboards
  • Alma will offer  customizable dashboards designed to meet the main workflow areas of the library and present their status, progress, and goals
  • These dashboards will be customizable so that libraries can change and adjust them  to meet their specific needs
A richer homepage with useful data will support Alma users in defining and focusing on their goals

What’s New Highlights Impact
OAS Version Upgrade for an enhanced UX and with new features
  • Customized homepage
  • KPI watchlist on the homepage
  • Export to Excel
  • Files in multi-table datasets and much more.
Library managers and analysts will have more tools and capabilities for data driven decisions and smoother work flows.

Letters and notices information 

What’s New Highlights Impact

Information regarding patron facing letters and notices will be added to Alma Analytics

Sample business cases include:

  • How many overdue notices were sent by a specific library to specific user types in a specific month
  • Number of Overdue Notifications per item counted by library
  • How many claim letters were sent, and to which vendors, in the last year
Institutions will have an additional method to evaluate library workflows.

Additions to Benchmark Analytics

What’s New Highlights Impact
New measures will be added to benchmark analytics allowing the institution to see where improvements can be made

Measures include:

  • Percentage of items ordered in last 365 days which arrived and were loaned
  • Number of collections and portfolios contributed to the CZ
  • Number of claimed orders 
Institutions will be able to easily analyze their performance compared to other institutions in the same region.
