Next Release Sneak Preview (for August 2018)

The features below are currently planned for the next release. However, some of these features may, for various reasons, not be included in this month's release, but rather in a future Alma release.
Acquisitions
- License Templates – Staff users will be able to use license templates to create licenses and save the license terms as templates.
- New Reporting Code Options – A new option enables assigning reporting codes to fund allocations.
Resource Management
Idea Exchange and 
NERS Enhancement (Request ID #5254): Additional Date on the Portfolio Level – It will be possible to have two sets of dates on the portfolio level: Perpetual and Current Access.- New Validation Task – A new validation task will validate that a given field is empty.
Digital Resource Management
- Enhancements to Collection Deletion – Enhancements to the collection deletion will enable batch deleting unwanted results of an MD import job or removal of an empty collection and its empty sub-collections in one action.
- Generate Representations from Existing Bibliographic Records – A tool in Alma will generate digital representations from existing bibliographic records that contain links to files stored in a file system.
- Add Restore Capabilities to Alma Digital – It will be possible to restore digital files and representations after deletion. Staff will be provided with details on the files that were successfully restored.
- Alma Delivery for Remote Repositories – Alma viewer capabilities will be extended to include embedding of content hosted by remote repositories (such asYouTube, Soundcloud, and so forth).
Resource Sharing
- NERS Enhancement (Request ID #5782) More Detailed Update for the Patron – When a resource sharing or a renewal request is rejected, the patron on the borrower side will be able to obtain precise information about the reason for the rejection.
- Separate 'Requestable for Resource Sharing' Policies for Physical and Digital – It will be possible to define separate policies for ‘physically requestable for resource sharing’ and ‘digitally requestable for resource sharing.’
Collaborative Networks
- Shared User IDs – Institutions in a fulfillment network will be able to share user IDs, even if they are not working with a shared Network Zone.
APIs
- There will be a new API for retrieving the full details of a specific fund.
