November Sneak Preview
The features below are currently planned for the next release. However, some of these features may, for various reasons, not be included in this month's release, but rather in a future Alma release.
Resource Management
- (NERS #6941) Link Resolver ViewIt Online Service Order - Give preference to resources with orders - Libraries will be able to give priority to an electronic service of acquired electronic resources when displayed via the Alma Link Resolver Viewit.
- Inventory – Holdings Search – A new search type for Holdings which will be the middle layer between Physical Titles search and items search will be available.
- (NERS #6795) Refine Repository Advance Search Results by MARC Tags and Subfields - A user performing an advance search or showing the results for a logical set will be able to "Refine" the search. This will offer the option to choose a filter (based on the existing indication rules) or create a new filter.
- New Advanced Search Option – The Advanced Search will now offer an option of filtering by ‘Not Equals’. The ‘Not equals’ operator will be added to all relevant indexes
- Enhanced Staff Navigation for Related Records and Inventory - The navigation between related records and associated inventory will be improved with the same navigation links that appear for the main record. In addition, the navigation between the related record and the main records items and holdings will be enhanced such that when a specific item or volume or issue is being referenced in the related record, only the relevant holding or item record will be shown when using these new navigation links.
API
API for circulation desks - This new RESTful API for circulation desks expands the configuration related APIs, and will help support Cloud Apps and other applications integrating to the Ex Libris Open Platform.
