    Cycle 3 - California Community Colleges

    We are excited to invite you to join the Knowledge Acceleration Program, a webinar series created specifically for libraries who have gone live with Alma in the last six months. These live sessions will focus on a range of topics that libraries often look to optimize in their first year of production. Each session includes 45 minutes of instruction, and 15 minutes of Q&A with a member of our Expert Services team.

    E-Resource Management

    During this session, we’ll review how your e-resources are included in Alma and the Central Discovery Index, and how your staff will be activating and maintaining your libraries’ e-resources.  We’ll also go over common post-migration tasks that can help refine your institutions’ electronic collections. 

    We’ll also see the My Electronic Collections by Provider tool, which will help you ensure that the electronic collections you subscribe to from specific vendors are accurately configured in Alma.  Finally, we’ll take a look at some scenarios that will help you identify potential issues with e-resources, and how to correct them.

    Discovery and Delivery Configuration in Primo VE

    During this session, we’ll explore how discovery and delivery are configured in Alma for Primo VE.   We’ll see how the search, refinement, and display of results can be customized, and discuss how local and remote resources are configured.   We’ll also see how configure the delivery of resources using display logic and general electronic services.

    During this session, we’ll begin by running the HealthCheck Dashboard for Fulfillment before reviewing the results of this job. On the basis of error events identified in the report, we’ll review and make adjustments to Fulfillment Units, Terms of Use, Item Policies and Advanced Policy Configuration. At the end, we’ll test configuration using the Fulfillment Configuration Utility.

    Introduction to Analytics

    This session will focus on an introduction to working in Alma Analytics. In addition to helping you to understand the Oracle Business Intelligence (OBI) environment, roles and organization, the session will include reviewing and modifying several out-of-the-box analyses. Creating a new analysis will be demonstrated as well as how to expose the results to others.

    Staff operators who are just beginning to get into reporting via Analytics and want to understand the basics. Those with a little more experience using Analytics may also find the session useful.
