This session will present some basic terminology, and the inventory model used by Alma to organize various kinds of metadata records. Along the way, you'll see a few examples of electronic resources and their records.
This session will present the three Zones of resources in Alma: The Institution Zone, the Community Zone, and the Network Zone. You'll also learn how to link records from your Institution Zone to the Community Zone, and how to contribute your own records to the Community Zone.
In this session we'll learn how to activate purchased electronic resources in order to make them available to the public; and show how to test access to activated resources.
Some vendors offer access to electronic resources for a limited evaluation period. In this session we'll learn how to set up a trial in Alma to manage the evaluation process and gather feedback from select people in your institution, to help with the purchasing decision.
