    Add SUSHI Account to Vendor via Search

    When adding a SUSHI account to a Vendor, you can search for the SUSHI account from a full list of accounts maintained in the Alma Community Zone, in addition to using the existing autocomplete. This is useful since the autocomplete recognizes accounts by prefix alone, and sometimes your keyword is from the middle of the account name.


    MetaData Editor Hotkey to Search for Current Record (Ctrl+Alt+V)

    When working on a record in the Metadata Editor you can find that record in the Alma Repository Search using the hotkey Ctrl+Alt+V. This is a common navigation useful for finding inventory, and handling requests related to the title.


    Search Analytics Objects List by Folder or Report

    Starting in the Alma October 2018 release, you can search the Analytics Objects List by Folder Name or Report Name, and also add columns to display those attributes.


    Sort Analytics Reports by Filing Title - Ignoring "The", "A", and "An"

    Starting in the Alma October 2018 release, you can add a new field called Title (Filing) under the bibliographic details of your Analyses. This allows you to sort reports by Title while ignoring the leading artices such as "The", "A", or "An". You can hide the Title (Filing) column in your report, and display only the regular Title.


    Authority Control Task List: Filter Out Community Zone Records

    Starting in the Alma August 2018 release, You can filter out Community Zone Records from the Authority Control Task List, saving you the effort of manually sifting through the list to find the tasks connected to your institution's records.


    Holdings Records Section in the Import Job Report

    Starting in the Alma August 2018 release, the Import Job Report includes a section for Holdings Records, which lets you keep track of the Holdings added to Alma during import.


    Relink a Purchase Request to Another Bibliographic Record

    Starting in the Alma July 2018 release, you can relink a Purchase Request to a different bibliographic record. This is useful for correcting a mistake during request creation, for example if a new record was created, when you would rather link to an existing one. The Relink option is only available for requests that have not yet been approved or rejected.


    Configure a Preferred Match Method for Purchase Requests

    Starting in the Alma July 2018 release, you can customize the match method used for identifying titles when creating a purchase request. By default, Alma matches the requested item to a record by ISSN or ISBN, but you now have the option to choose your own match method. The configuration is done in two steps: First, configure an Import Profile with your desired Match Method. Second, configure the purchase_request_import_profile customer parameter to be the above import profile.


    Filter the Authority Control Task List

    You can easily manage the list of Authority Control tasks by filtering the results using the new Facets bar. The list can be filtered by Report Type, Linked Inventory Type, MARC field, Authority Vocabulary, Brief Level, etc. Previously, you could only do this by exporting the list to a spreadsheet first.

    Delete Multiple Fields in the Metadata Editor

    You can delete multiple selected fields in the Metadata Editor by selecting the fields (Ctrl-Click) and deleting (Ctrl+F6).

    Create a Set in Alma from an Alma Analytics Report

    You can create a set in Alma from an Analytics report. Previously you would’ve had to export the report to a spreadsheet file, and then import the file into Alma. This is useful for creating sets of Physical Items, Users, PO Lines, etc.

    Import Holdings Only, Without Items

    You can import holdings records for physical titles without creating the physical items in Alma. This is useful for repository metadata imports where item creation is not required.

    Adding a Controlled Vocabulary for Local License Terms

    You can now create a license term with a license term type of Controlled Vocabulary, allowing you to define your own custom list of values for the license term field that you add.
