360 KB: Springer Nature Databases: Databases Names Change -- October 2024
What is happening to the names of Springer Nature databases?
The provider has decided to rename a few of Springer Nature collections, as you can see in the following table:
Collection DB ID | Current Collection Name | New Collection Name |
---|---|---|
AECZI | SpringerNature CAUL Springer All Plus 2023 | Springer Nature CAUL Springer Journals All |
AAFIF | SpringerNature CAUL Palgrave MacMillan All Plus | Springer Nature CAUL Palgrave Journals All |
AAIKX | SpringerNature CAUL Adis All Plus | Springer Nature CAUL Adis All |
AADKL | SpringerNature CAUL Academic Journals 2023 | Springer Nature CAUL Academic Journals All |
Therefore, we will be changing those databases names in the Knowledgebase. The content of the databases will be also updated. The databases' ID will remain the same.
Those changes will take effect on October 31, 2024.
Actions you may need to take:
- If you are a 360 MARC Updates client and have requested the custom specification that adds the database name as it appears in the Client Center/Intota to MARC records, you can expect to see some change records when you get your MARC records after October 31, 2024.
- If your library uses a third-party service (such as EBSCO A-Z, etc.), custom scripts to manage data, or other non-ProQuest tools that require the databases name to function, you should note the changes in ProQuest's databases names in order to retain the proper relationship/mapping between those tools.
