  1. What is happening to the linking syntax URL of EU BookShop?

What is happening to the linking syntax URL of EU BookShop?

Database EU BookShop from the provider Europa Publications will be updated by provider MARC file. As a result, there will be some changes to this collection.

Therefore, we will be changing the title-level linking in the Knowledgebase on February 21, 2025. The content of EU BookShop (db code FZ-)  will increase to over 297,000 monographs and serials -- compared to 132587 currently. Due to the variations in title, identifier and URL syntax, a vast majority of the titles will be deleted and replaced. If you have selected titles in this collections, you will need to re-select again.

This change will take effect in February 21, 2025:

Before February 21, 2025: http://bookshop.europa.eu
After February 21, 2025: https://op.europa.eu

Actions you may need to take:

  • Make sure that either https://op.europa.eu or *.europa.eu is included in your proxy configuration before February 21, 2025.
  • If you are a 360 MARC Updates client and have requested the custom specification that adds direct URLs to MARC records, you can expect to see some change records when you get your MARC records after February 21, 2025.
