360 KB: LWW Total Access Collection from Ovid: Database Name Change -- July 2017
What is happening to the name of database LWW Total Access Collection?
The provider, Ovid, has changed the way they sell the LWW total Access Collections. They now represent these as annual collections in additional to versions with and without neurology titles Therefore we will be changing the names in the Knowledgebase for the following two LWW Total Access Collection databases to mirror Ovid's representation. The content of these databases, and the database ID ([DBID]), will remain the same.
This change will take effect on July 20th, 2017:
- Before July 20th:
-
Database Code Old Database Name OLW Journals@Ovid LWW Total Access Collection with Neurology ACEWG Journals@Ovid LWW Total Access Collection minus Neurology - After July 20:
-
Database Code NEW Database Name OLW Journals@Ovid LWW Total Access Collection 2017 with Neurology ACEWG Journals@Ovid LWW Total Access Collection 2017 minus Neurology - The 2017 collections will continue to receive updates as normal and new 2018 collections for the LWW Total Access Collection series will be added in December. Subscribers who have questions as to which year they should be subscribed to should contact their Ovid representative.
Actions you may need to take:
- If you are a 360 MARC Updates client and have requested the custom specification that adds the database name as it appears in the Client Center/Intota to MARC records, you can expect to see some change records when you get your MARC records after [effective date].
- If your library uses a third-party service (such as EBSCO A-Z, etc.), custom scripts to manage data, or other non-ProQuest tools that require the database name to function, you should note the change in ProQuest's database name in order to retain the proper relationship/mapping between those tools.
