360 KB: Oxford Journals from Oxford University Press: Title-Level URL Domain Change - November 2016 through January 2017
What is happening to the URL linking syntax of database Oxford Journals databases?
The provider Oxford University Press will be migrating to SilverChair platform and will be changing the database level and title-level linking syntax for Oxford Journals titles and databases. Oxford University Press will be instituting these changes starting November 2016 and will go live in January 2017. For more information please see Oxford University Press FAQ sheet linked below:
http://oxfordjournals.org/our_journa..._faq_final.pdf
Therefore, we will be changing the title-level linking syntax in the Knowledgebase as they become available from Oxford University Press Journals KBART files. Please refer to Oxford Journals KBART Title Lists page:
http://www.oxfordjournals.org/en/lib...art-files.html
The content of the database will remain the same.
These changes should be complete by January 2017
- Before November 2016: http://oxfordjournals.org/
- After January 2017: https://academic.oup.com/
**Additionally please keep in mind that Oxford University Press is now including previous title histories for journals. Duplicate holdings may occur for a period of time. Please be patient while we sort through all of the changes that come with this migration and gradually accept the new title lists into the KnowledgeBase by the end of January 2017.**
Actions you may need to take:
- Make sure that either https://academic.oup.com/ or *academic.oup.com/ is included in your proxy configuration by the end of January 2017.
- If you are a 360 MARC Updates client and have requested the custom specification that adds direct URLs to MARC records, you can expect to see some change records when you get your MARC records after January 2017.
