    1. What is happening to the linking syntax URL of database PubMed Central?

What is happening to the linking syntax URL of database PubMed Central?

The provider National Library of Medicine has switched the linking syntax URL to HTTP secure (HTTPS) protocol for PubMed Central (dbid: RPM).

Therefore, we will be changing the title-level linking syntax in the Knowledgebase. The content of the database will remain the same.

This change will take effect on November 1, 2017:

    • Before November 1, 2017: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov
    • After November 1, 2017: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov

Actions you may need to take:

    • If you are a 360 MARC Updates client and have requested the custom specification that adds direct URLs to MARC records, you can expect to see some change records when you get your MARC records after November 1, 2017.
