Alma: IEEE Computer Society Digital Library Journals - moving proceedings content

    • Product: Alma, SFX
    • Product Version: all
    • Relevant for Installation Type: all

What is happening with the proceedings content in the IEEE Computer Society Digital Libary Journals collection?

This article is about the following collection:

Alma Collection Name Alma Collection ID SFX Target Name SFX Target ID
IEEE Computer Society Digital Library Journals 61111050500770000 IEEE_COMPUTER_SOCIETY_DIGITAL_LIBRARY_JOURNALS 111050500770000

Previously, we have incorporated the individual conference proceedings (volumes) into the "IEEE Computer Society Digital Library Journals" collection. This is misleading and not in alignmnent with how the metadata is provided to us by IEEE Computer Society. Additionally, we already have a separate "IEEE Computer Society Digital Library Proceedings" collection which contains the proceedings for the IEEE Computer Society which is consistent with the data as presented by the provider.

As such, we will be moving all of the proceedings from "IEEE Computer Society Digital Library Journals" to the "IEEE Computer Society Digital Library Proceedings" collection. Please activate the proceedings records in the new collection before we remove the proceedings from the Journals collection on: Date TBA

Alma Collection Name Alma Collection ID SFX Target Name SFX Target ID
IEEE Computer Society Digital Library Proceedings 611000000000002622 IEEE_COMPUTER_SOCIETY_DIGITAL_LIBRARY_PROCEEDINGS 1000000000002622

To be clear, here is how the metadata that we receive from IEEE Computer Society will be implemented following this change.
