Bloomsbury: Drama Online collections KB cleanup

Record cleanup / "title" removal
Previously, Bloomsbury had included individual records for each play from a playtext as a separate record for Drama Online (at the title-level), due to legacy decisions made about the Drama Online platform. This caused issues such as individual plays merging together in the KB (with one play having multiple links), incorrect matching to unrelated MARC records, and other issues that were confusing and incorrect for library systems. This issue was previously described in the article Bloomsbury title information and title counts.
Earlier this year, Bloomsbury committed to resolving this issue in Drama Online, first by adding a title landing page on the platform where one was previously missing, then by consolidating the plays/chapters into a single title. In many cases, the chapter information has been moved into the 5xx fields in the MARC as appropriate, and other metadata has been corrected or enhanced, too. This general cleanup has also seen additional titles added to certain collections.
This updated metadata has been delivered to Ex Libris and we have analyzed which collections are affected and which will see a reduction in the number of records in the KB as a result, which are listed below:

Plays/chapters will continue to be discoverable through CDI (and additional improvements to Bloomsbury content in CDI are anticipated in Q1 2025 which should improve discoverability further).
Collection name changes
We will also be updating the collection names for Drama Online collections, to better align with Boomsbury's naming convention and correct some errors in the names of collections currently in the Ex Libris KBs. We are analyzing the list of collections that require a name change and will update this page with the list once it is finalized.
Note: The territory 'Rest of World' includes any territories not specifically listed in another file, e.g. if there is no file listed as UK, then UK customers should select the Rest of World file, as described on Bloomsbury's Drama Online MARC records page.
