Question: What is happening to multiple C.H. Beck collections in SFX KB?

Answer: 

SFX KB currently includes Beck collections under a number of interfaces:

BECK (113 collections)

BECK EBIBLIOTHEK BOOKS (1 collection)

VERLAG C. H. BECK (1 collection)

Our requests for assistance in maintaining the BECK EBIBLIOTHEK BOOKS and VERLAG C. H. BECK were declined by the provider. 

At the provider's request, we can only update Beck e-Library (collections listed under the BECK interface).

Please note that BeckOnline Die DatenBank collection is mistakenly listed under the BECK interface and is not part of the still-to-be-maintained Beck e-library.

In attempt to address the issues reported for the BECK EBIBLIOTHEK BOOKS and VERLAG C. H. BECK we will be adding 2 new collections under BECK interface. The collections will be noted as live in the 2021 Alma CKB Release Notes: January - June, anticipated in May 2021: 

Beck-eLibrary All Books

Beck-eLibrary All Titles

We will not remove BECK EBIBLIOTHEK BOOKS and VERLAG C. H. BECK collections in our knowledgebase, however we cannot maintain any updates for the collections per the provider's request.

Actions you need to take:

1. If you have activated the BECK EBIBLIOTHEK BOOKS collection (collection ID: 3450000000000084), activate the beck-eLibrary All Books collection instead.
2. If you have activated the VERLAG C. H. BECK collection (collection ID: 3840000000000028), activate the beck-eLibrary All Titles collection instead.
