HTML Code from the Description Field Displays in the User Interface

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: MetaLib
    • Product Version: 4

    Description:
In order to highlight certain text in the user interface(/V), the we entered HTML tags into the IRD > Presentation Primary > Description field.
The code displays correctly (that is, the result of the code displays, not the actual HTML) in all but 1 place.
The effect of the HTML code should be to highlight selected text about the resource and provide live, clickable links.
    CORRECT
Find Database > Results > Table View
Find Database > Results > Table View > Database details/"i" click
Find Database > Results > Table View > Database details/"i" click
QuickSets > Search > Set Detail/click set name > Database details/"i" click (information display box)
Search Multiple Databases (= MetaSearch) > Search > Search Type = QuickSets > Database details/"i" click
Search Multiple Databases (= MetaSearch) > Search > Search Type = My Databases > Database details/"i" click
Search Multiple Databases (= MetaSearch) > Search > Search Type = Subjects > Database details/"i" click
Search Multiple Databases (= MetaSearch) > Search > Search Type = by Keyword > Database details/"i" click
My Research (= My Space) > My Databases > Clipboard > Database details/"i" click
    INCORRECT
Find Database > Search in DB

    Resolution:
Using HTML code or tags in the Description field is a high priority Enhancement Request which is expected in next released version (4.3) at the end of March 2009.
