    Quickset IRD Order and Result Ranking

    Description:
    Does the order of the IRD’s in the Quickset rank the results or is it only the relevancy rank within each IRD?

    Resolution:
    The order of the IRDs in the QuickSet has no relation to the results.
    The results are returned from each database in whatever order the target database uses, then MetaLib combines and merges the results from the set. Ranking is applied when the database results are merged. When you raise or lower the rank in the IRD, it adds or subtracts points for that database in the relevancy algorithm. This influences the ranking in MetaLib but it does not completely control it, so the effect is often subtle.
