How is the "subject" field understood? To what is the subject field generally mapped?

Resolution:
MetaLib displays the content in the 6#### tag as "Subject". (The # is a wildcard.) It will display content in the ASU tag as "Additional Subject". We usually post subjects that are not indexed in the subject search index to the "Additional Subject" field because those subjects will not appear as hyperlinked/lateral-searches in the metasearch module
